Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Cycling the heritage sites & Tubing on Nam-khan River.
A good morning “Welcome” to a new day in Luang Prabang. After breakfast, we will pick up our bikes to be sure that the seats are adjusted for comfort before heading out on our tour of Luang Prabang, starting at 8:00 AM. We’ll first cycle to the Morning Market. Be ready to be hit by the varied scents and smells of an open-air market where you’ll find the vendors displaying all sorts of wares and food items.
After a thorough walk through the market, we’ll jump back on our bikes and head up hill to take in a view of the river valley in which the town is located. It’ll be an easy cycle from there to the Mekong River where we’ll cross on ferry and venture down river to check out the pottery village and an old temple. You’ll also get a chance to take in Luang Prabang as seen from across the river.
From there we’ll catch a ferry back to Luang Prabang and ride up to a weaving center and villages along the way. That will bring us back to a couple of spots where we’ll be able to cool off along the riverbank, have a picnic lunch and get ready for some tubing. Catch some rays, chill out and enjoy the day before we return to town.
