Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - The Ream National Park & Jungle Trekking
The tour begins at 8am, when you will be transported to the edge of the park for an hour and a half boat ride up the Prek Teuk Sap estuary. As you cruise along the mangrove forest, your guide will point out the storks that feed on the mudflats and you may spot egrets, kingfishers, mouse deer (muntjac), pangolin (spiny anteaters), and sun bears.
After docking at a local fishing village, it is a mile-long trek through the forest to Koh Sam Pouch, which boasts a beautiful white sandy beach. Relax in the sunshine and take a dip in the aqua-blue waters as you enjoy a break for your picnic lunch.
In the afternoon, your guide will lead you up Meditation Mountain, a serene place of worship offering fabulous views across the park. Many local Cambodians still come here to offer their devotions and you can view the Buddha images carved into the rock by villagers.
After walking back down the mountain, you will return to Sihanoukville before dark.
