Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - One day trekking to Khuang Si Waterfall and Black Bear Sanctuary
Pick up at 8:30 am at the hotel and proceed 40 minutes to Baan Long Lao, a Hmong Village and the starting point for the trek. Your trek will take approximately 3 hours; Or, intermediate (Level 2) from this point.
Along the way you will trek through farmlands and national park lands before arriving at Khuang Si Waterfall and the Black Bear Sanctuary. Enjoy the blue spring water and some swimming before going up to the actual waterfall. Be prepare for a great swimming experience and some terrific, natural photo ops as the many levels of the waterfall cascade down from the mountains.
A picnic lunch will be served
At the conclusion of the picnic, you will proceed to the Black Bear Sanctuary to see these beautiful animals in their natural habitat. There will be no end to the photo ops available here as well. Expect to spend an hour at the sanctuary before boarding the bus back to Luang Prabang and your hotel., just in time to catch sunset.
